Introduction

Probiotics have been widely used in animal feed as supplementary nutrition, as they can improve animal health and production performance. "England Beneficial Probiotics" is a new probiotic product that claims to improve animal growth, feed digestion and immunity. In this report, we conducted a trial to evaluate the effectiveness of England Beneficial Probiotics in commercial broilers.

Materials and Methods

We selected a total of 300 one-day-old commercial broilers and randomly divided them into two groups, with 150 birds in each group. The control group was fed with the basal diet, while the treatment group received the basal diet supplemented with 2 kg/t England Beneficial Probiotics. The trial lasted for 42 days. The growth performance, feed consumption, feed conversion rate, and immune function of the broilers were evaluated.

Results

The results showed that the average body weight of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group from day 21 to day 42 (p<0.05). The average daily weight gain of the treatment group was 5.68% higher than that of the control group (p<0.05). The feed conversion rate of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group (p<0.05). Moreover, the immune function of the broilers in the treatment group was significantly enhanced as indicated by the increased serum antibody levels against Newcastle disease virus (p<0.05).

Discussion

The improved growth performance and feed conversion rate in the treatment group may be attributed to the beneficial effects of England Beneficial Probiotics, which can increase the digestibility and utilization of feed, promote the growth of beneficial gut microflora, and reduce the population of harmful bacteria. The enhanced immune function of the broilers may be due to the immunomodulatory effects of the probiotics. The probiotic bacteria in England Beneficial Probiotics can stimulate the production of cytokines and activate immune cells, thus improving the resistance against pathogens.

Conclusion

In conclusion, our trial demonstrated that England Beneficial Probiotics is effective in promoting the growth performance, feed conversion rate, and immune function of commercial broilers. Adding England Beneficial Probiotics to the feed is a feasible and economical way to improve broiler production.
